Finally watched the Carte Blanche article on the possibility of a grid collapse. Nothing to see really, just shows how some in the press and many on social media are making noise about very little.

Increased LS stages make no difference, if anything they partially help avoid such a crisis.
If it did happen, it would likely (usually) be due to extreme weather, leading to at least 3 power stations collapsing and the rest would be quick.
A recovery would take 5 to 14 days, not including society then recovering...

Considered a very low risk, and Eskom's experts in charge of that believe the regular LS just keeps them more on their toes.

Should become free to watch on YouTube in a couple of weeks.
 
Seems to be a small blip with Wednesday's Jo'burg weather as well but can't make out what that's about, most of the time incl. tomorrow is sunny.
Maybe S4 nights for the next week, who knows.

If nothing breaks then I think they can manage the status quo for 2 days.
