I’m in a shirt. Because **** Eskom I have my AC turned right up for heating.

Still, no media release from CoJ :crying::crying::crying: I was so hopeful for the briefest of moments that I forgot how ****ed over you get as soon as that ember of hope gets the tiniest bit of oxygen in this country lol

Are these the winter units finally coming online? Will I have to delete my bookmarks?

The unofficial one says no-one can hide from it, except Beke Cele who will deny ever hearing about it
Anyway, sounds like Durbs is doing something similar so here's hoping... again

Whatever is going on they must be regularly fixing the sabotaged units. Maybe even negotiating with the terrorists, they seem to know them.

I'm not so sure. Judging by the poweralert numbers yesterday, it looks like the 28GW was only temporary and its back to 24GW. I'm keeping the bookmarks for now. Lets see what tomorrows chart looks like.

In other news City power took a **** at 4am. Power has been out since then. Neighbors have lit up the WhatsApp groups.

Looking through it now, it seems about the same with no changes, keeping the 2 hour slots and normally at most 2 times a day at Stage 6. So who knows...
3 times a day on some days for my area at stage 6 like it was with the pre-flood schedule.

Neither. Natural gas imported with US dollars.

Technically (almost) all fuels are imported, or priced in dollar equivalents. In particular LNG went through a huge price spike (several hundred percent) last year due to the Ukraine conflict. Prices have reduced somewhat, but natural gas is by far the most volatile, and difficult to transport.

Coal isn't.

So we can import natural gas but we can't use our offshore gas field. Brilliant

They finished burning all the evidence :) Nah I'm pretty sure that 28GW was a mistake/typo and it was supposed to be 26GW
