So we can go back to stage 2?
We should only really be stage 1/2 during the day by the looks of it and nothing at night, peak sure stage 3/4

But yeah that's probably not going to happen

I'm not sure how it works in the background, but maybe it's not as easy as flipping a switch to move from 1-2-3-4 etc. Also a bit more certainty, although ****, gives people the opportunity to plan appropriately. It sounds weird, but thinking you won't be shed in a night and then for shedding to happen with short notice vs. knowing in advance you will be shed may be better psychologically? Not sure but may be why they keep stages flat for longer periods of time.

Plan what specifically?
Eskom change the stage at the drop of a hat constantly.

You forget they changed to stage 4 at 02:31 yesterday morning.

That is the dream.

Yeah, if I have power during a window that should be shed, I dint bother using power to prevent damage to electronics.

So effectively it's useless power because I can't trust it.

and other people still insist with sticking their head in the sand. While we are debating over 100MW of Koeberg, Eskom lost 1500MW of coal yesterday. I would hate to see what your "things are getting worse" reality.

When they put a white kant in tasked with sailing the Titanic back to the surface of the Atlantic.

Our approach is 75% safe to use if still on after 31 minutes, maybe 90% after 46 minutes, 100% after 1 hour+.

But depends if there's any consistency in your area of course.

And people still insist things are not getting better...
Champ, when there is no more Loadshedding, then, and only then, can you say, they have fixed what they broke.

Remember, even if these unsupervised fools completely end Loadshedding, we are still sitting with Electricity 10x more expensive than it should be.

So, the ANC will remain a bunch of incompetent fools, wrt Eskom, until there ui
1. No loadsheffing
2. Power only costs what it did 30 years ago plus inflationary increases.

Then things are `better' wrt to Eskom... .

Only then....

and we are completely screwed in Jhb with stage 6 schedule. ESP app is also being hammered now with everyone trying to see the schedule.
