I am... It's been raining whole day, raining so hard where i am that my roof has been leaking and i got a puddle now on the floor... It rained so hard where they ran the cables for solar the water came in and seeped through the roof... It's also been super dark whole day like from 12 when i got home had to have a light on in the house

Ah, so you are one of the unfortunate ones still on the Eskom stages (think that is 30% of CT) ?

Yea we Eskom direct, i edited my origional post since i see your post changed after i replied.

Change in stages caused the 4:30 slot to come into place.

CoCT are negotiating with Eskom to take over the suburb though

So what do they expect us just to chill while its peak not charge anything and then bam have nothing for our next load of shedding?

I often get hit 4 hour mid day then 4 hour at night, if i don't charge my battery during those two periods which falls over peak i have no power for the night time...
Why they'll never get enough people to comply, unless they make it a rule but can't see how they could enforce it.

Yea they can't enforce it, they don't know what i am using power for.

Personally with solar generally i am using very little grid at all and mainly from say like 7pm at night to 7am so not really the problem but i know people in this situation where 11h30 LS on stage 6 in my area is very common, their UPS's and inverters run almost flat and then need to be charged, often its like 4 hours until the next load and if its 2 until 6 and then again 8 to 12 what do you do? You kinda forced to charge during peak...

We have seen a large increase in wall jumpers since stage 6 has become so common, we had a wall jumper even at 2:45am in the morning which was 2 hours 45 minute into LS... So like people need their inverters to keep their alarm batteries and stuff up...

Sorry Eskom that you are utter useless and corrupt...

On a more serious note my solar generation has been SUPER low today like... Kinda relying so heavily on Eskom oof ... currently in a 4 hour 30 slot and solar is only generating 67 watts... its only 4pm :|
Where's this, cause had a decent one today

Delay it, by like 10 minutes

Weird, for some reason I thought you were in CT. We don't get 4h slots typically during the day. Of course if it is Stage 6 on Eskom, we will get Stage 5 which will mean some suburbs get 4h, but Eskom doesn't often have Stage 6 during the day (even now!)
Whole of last week it was stage 6 all the time

As soon as there is power I have everything back on charge...
You never know if its going to last 5 minutes or 5 hours after its switched back on these days...

I think I should become an Energy Expert

Cause is this not things I've been saying?
What they are actually saying is, it really doesn't matter if I charge or not as its only as much as 1400mw, and given how how much is short and how my slots are structured, meh, stage 3, stage 6, stage 8, whatever, all the same, they're still shedding me regardless of whether I charge or not. Not charging doesn't change anything, I will still be loadshed

Big problem are certain things are always connected as well so like i'm watching tv its going through my inverter and my battery is flat okay i'll just sit in the dark for extra 20 minutes so i can avoid this situation instead of watching tv which i only get very limited time to watch...

Nah. When it's approaching mealtime, I put food in the microwave, and when loadshedding ends, bam it's game on...

And no, we don't get spikes or surges, and I don't unplug anything here.
Wait for the slot that ends at 6pm. Then turn everything on.

Our turn on time is very varied again, anything from a few seconds past the hour to 25 minutes, even 35 once the other day. So presume that's their solution... but when I brought this up months ago many posted that their on times are usually accurate, so who knows
