How has demand fallen by 5GW, or even more unbelievably almost 20%? Seems off.

@Lupus Looks like we are going to take the title of longest outage in JHB, been told we are going to be down for up to 5 weeks hahahaahahahahahah

It seems that a mini sub which is supposed to be quick fix will take the longest. Your issue they'll probably have up sooner then you think.

Nah I spoke to the COO of city power this morning he says 3 weeks which translates into more lol. The cables and infrastructure are so ****ed they aren't even sure it's safe to repair amongst a whole bunch of other issues (cable manufacturer will take 14 days alone, bridge isnt structurally sound, etc) but God I hope it's not that long. We are only into day 5 (lost power Tuesday 1953) and I'm pulling my ****ing hair out...

At least yours is showing some actual attention, I was at the city power offices nagging after 11 days

Slight drop when you look at Saturdays numbers, but if you look at the power alert from yesterday I think when this updates it will be a good week overall. The unplanned has been dropping, with maintenance actually still remaining reasonably high for this time of year.
I mean this was the whole of May last year, unplanned was almost 12% higher.
