poweralert stage 2.....

I will say there is plenty of wind in CT today and there are a number of wind farms in the WC connected the grid - the closest to me (but still far away) is the Darling wind farm.

Edit: Not so much win now though. Calmed down a bit.

I see we skipped our 03:00-05:00 session. I wonder if loadshedding was suspended or if someone slept on the job this morning.
This has been bothering me
More than a few times this has happened to us just hours before they massively drop the LS stage. (We are otherwise very rarely skipped.)

Could be nothing in it, but there is a private comms network between Eskom and the Muni's so maybe sometimes they get to relax about the pressure earlier than we get to.

No doubt, many of the employees will be white and also charge high consulting fees. Payback is a bitch, is it not, Eskom? I'm wondering why Tutuka is excluded? That's the one that has the lowest EAF (like 20% - even below solar / wind EAF) and the station manager has to walk around with a bullet proof vest.

Cape Town - The government will deploy former Eskom engineers and energy experts to a number of power stations on Monday in a bid to improve the energy availability factor.

Minister of Electricity Kgosientso Ramokgopa said they have decided to go station by station as part of measures to deal with the load shedding crisis.
He said they have so far identified four power stations which will be first in line to be fixed by former Eskom engineers and other energy experts.
The technical experts will go to Matla, Kriel, Majuba and Kendal power stations.
