OK.

A Minister must have moved into my area, because 3 times in a row our power has stayed on during load shedding now

Someone in my circle hadn't had shedding for a week. The thinking is they may be waiting for spare parts, switches etc. could be too on the edge now to take a chance.

Poweralert seems to show a 2GW improvement, so stage 4 daily isn't really needed, in fact it's not needed now. Tonight still possible though as shortfall without backups is 4320MW

Typo ^^

So sounds like we're going back to 3&4 tomorrow, maybe that until Sun/Mon has passed.

Thanks fixed :-) I think it could go down to 2/4 tomorrow but in honesty that's still basically stage 4 anyway. As I mean stage 2 for 7 hours doesn't really give much of a break.

Or the infrastructure is kaked itself and it cannot be switched off and on all the time... Happened to my boss in Greenpoint CT she had no loadshedding during stage 6+ for 3 weeks and recently it started again. She knows the ward counselor and they told her the area was not going off because the substation was in it's as south africans say

Yeah, they really need to redo how that works in Jo'burg..

Yup, but they won't. Cause they already switched us to 2 hours after Eskom demanded it. Seems whatever Eskom demands CP just complies

Just checked - they are being shed again..

Using 1.5GW of OCGTs to pump 1.7GW of water back from 2-3pm after increasing shitting stage from 2 to 4:
