also old infrastructure in my area which has taken them like 10 years to fix finally because I'm sure everyone still tries to start cooking @6pm when the power comes back on during peak times

The money wasted on diesel should have been used to effect some upgrades to existing stations or add capacity. Running diesel was just postponing the inevitable. I'm sure treasury will give them money to get more diesel though.

This is the worrying part - we know they normal would, it's an SOE so they essentiually must, but now they seem to want us to think there's no solution. I suspect world greenie influence is at play as a condition of the recent loan, but who knows..

Hopefully you're right. That threat does seem to be the only thing keeping the anc on "reasonable" ground.

Well, I agree, and I don't.
You're right of course, but getting things fixed properly is beyond reality for now - either with proper power utilities improvement of meaningful worth or with a replacement government.

So we have to take what we can. For now.
