The tripping part is because people have everything still on when the power comes back.Yip that's City Power for you at least they are sticking to the schedule and the power is not tripping after they restore it![]()
also old infrastructure in my area which has taken them like 10 years to fix finally because I'm sure everyone still tries to start cooking @6pm when the power comes back on during peak timesThe tripping part is because people have everything still on when the power comes back.
This is the worrying part - we know they normal would, it's an SOE so they essentiually must, but now they seem to want us to think there's no solution. I suspect world greenie influence is at play as a condition of the recent loan, but who knows..The money wasted on diesel should have been used to effect some upgrades to existing stations or add capacity. Running diesel was just postponing the inevitable. I'm sure treasury will give them money to get more diesel though.
As for the above government / Eskom statement, looks like more smoke and mirrors to me.
The NT will find money, eventually. It's too risky from a political perspective for the ANC...As for the above government / Eskom statement, looks like more smoke and mirrors to me.
"The DPE is urgently working with National Treasury and Eskom for it to find the money to buy supplies of diesel."
Either National Treasury supplies it, or not.
Hopefully you're right. That threat does seem to be the only thing keeping the anc on "reasonable" ground. The NT will find money, eventually. It's too risky from a political perspective for the ANC...
No, hopefully he's not right. Treasury shouldn't be used to save ANC ass. If it means we must suffer a bit to get them booted from power, so be it...Hopefully you're right. That threat does seem to be the only thing keeping the anc on "reasonable" ground.
