The silence from Poeskom should have you worried. Daar is groot k@kYes, I would have expected some capacity to come online over the weekend and yesterday.

Demand should fall a bit from the 16th due some companies closing for the year. But maybe that will be offset by a ramp up in planned maintenance. It's worrying we have stayed at around 25MW since Friday.
Except for today I've had to tap a lot into Eskom :-( the sun hasn't been showing muchNah, I am not worried. I have solar and batteries.

Lucky, we've not missed a beat sadly in 3 months :-( even though City Power is now pleading with Eskom to reprieve us for a few days, as the rain isn't helping.I've kept my batteries at 100% for this exact reason. So, if the grid does die today - I have 10hrs of back-up.
Fun fact: Our suburb is still not LS - now going on for 3 months with no power cuts related to LS. My street, little area in the suburb has had no power cuts either for 3 months.
They caught up with you, unless it's not LS but an outage?

Yeah the sun just peers out for a second or 2.Grid power failed at home on Thursday or Friday night, have been running exclusively on solar/batteries since then. Monday was a struggle with nearly continuous rain all day. Today has been even more of a struggle so far, really battling to get enough solar power to cover base loads, never mind charging the batteries to get me through the night.
Bugger you to SundayNo LS related. Lasted 3 mins. Back now.
wet coal alert incoming?
hope not, as this will most probably push us past LS8... will have to wait and see, and hope for the best.
We are spending more and more time in 24-25MW available generation. Its slowly working its way to being the norm.
19 April 2022Out of interest; when last was the "Wet coal" excuse used?
Best we all keep quiet anyway, else they may do another investigation. No LS related. Lasted 3 mins. Back now.
Likewise... mother dear's machines and so forth, keeping her going has necessitated me to dig deep and use Poeskom to charge batteriesExcept for today I've had to tap a lot into Eskom :-( the sun hasn't been showing much
