I don't think I made it sound acceptable. My comment was from their point of view. And I'm sure they still believe they can rescue their reputation by next elections.

I don’t think there is any saving them at this point. The damage is done - now it’s just going to be compounded every day we have LS until elections.

Then new government (if we get one) will have to act very quickly to solve it - otherwise they will be to blame, too.

You must have missed the tweets where voters still say only the ANC can fix this. I have my doubts anything will change in the next elections, but will happily be proved wrong. Lets see.

The problem is that all they have to do is improve things enough (superficial as it may be) and make some big promises. For the rest they just play the blame game. The indoctrinated fools will buy it.

And, if/when they lose, it'll be a coalition they still have the majority in.Then the country is run by a bunch of children who can't agree on anything, and want their own way. Then absolutely nothing gets done. Don't like something? Just hold up the vote long enough to try and buy some other parties to vote with you.

I've always said this about parties like the ANC and EFF. They're a cult. There are people who are so deeply indoctrinated.
The ANC could come to their house and burn it down and they'd stand there praising their fire building skill.
But I don't think they can win outright. They don't even think they can. But they'll still control a coalition.

and this is where they will fall flat on their face. Their chickens are coming home now to roost. Physics don't give a **** about their ideologies and promises.
