Fair enough, but we are still getting double load shedding that pushes us over 12 hours of load shedding for today. I cannot imagine how bad it is going to get once we see stage 8 or higher. I doubt we will be provided power at all.
Well stage 8 is 12 hours a day, stage 5 is up to 8 hours a day.

Well we did not have our 8pm stint last night in Centurion, so maybe they leave some parts on with the extra power they save now. Don't know if we were skipped 4am this morning, was sleeping.

Doesn't work that way - the savings are in real time, so can't be transferred to other periods.
But our switch operator at Jo'burg City Power thinks this way sometimes....

Well the big areas is off the whole time from the cables that is down, so maybe they just not switching of the other areas? Not transferring, they shed load with the downed areas?

Sure, still pales in comparison to 1000MW per stage :( Maybe they can spare JHB at least hehehe, thank you for your sacrifice Pretoria
Well it's 1GW per stage country wide, so each city is supposed to sacrifice 100MW

I'd agree, but in this backwards country I have to doubt they can come up with that thought.
