That's likely to fade now, if it's them as well, but prime suspect has been the local mafia controlling coal supplies and some repairing which de Ruyter may have squeezed too hard.
And then there's the greenies.... maybe.

From 3 to 6 weeks time should tell us a lot.

Only just noticed how out of scale that graph is... I'm assuming the bottom 14,000MW is all coal?

It looks like they cut the bottom off, thermal gen (the black part) is at about 15000MW

It used to be over 25000MW a few months ago.

We all know about the incompetence, corruption etc at Eskom but to lose around 10GW of the coal fleet really is shocking. The Kusile "incident" only accounts for 2.1GW...
