Well I visited family last week during stage 6 and their whole town does not get load shedding. They have a normal schedule like the rest of us, it just does not get switched off for the last month, the whole town.
Don't want to jinx them and give the name, but it is a decent size town with plenty factories etc.

Is it just me or does this seem to coincide with the squirrel still running around the office, so we're suffering because of more factional infighting.

We will get soviet style privatisation, connected cadres will buy everything for a fraction of its worth. And then we will have some chump on here telling us but this was what we wanted.
 
Well it's not like they rolled out hundreds of troops, it's like only 10 per plant and one plant mentioned didn't even get troops yet so what are they "preparing" for exactly?

To make those assets profitable it would require forward thinking and hard work, a foreign concept those connected people. I won't be surprised to see a black friday sale going to China.

I hope China gets ownership of Eskom soon. This is the only real chance to save it. But it won`t happen, China will fire every Eskom employee, the ANC won`t allow it, SA needs to be destroyed rather.

Depends on how underhanded the deal is. I think the government will be blinded by dollar signs and I can see China striking while the iron is hot. They have been doing this to African countries for ages.

China is not dumb enough to buy Eskom as is. They will buy it only if they can make a clean sweep, and the ANC will NEVER allow that, NEVER! And China is very aware of this fact.

Eskom will stay forever, it will eventually only supply free and stolen electricity that solar system owners and other tax payers will pay for. This is the beauty of Socialism.

I think thats the eskom 2 they keep talking about. Eskom 1 is a glorified employment agency and eskom 2 is built, owned and managed by Russia, China or some combination.
