That's what we've had before, it's great not having water and power

I think that is why Cape Town has had to close beaches temporarily - sewage system not working due to high levels of sustained loadshedding.

What you doing?

Glad to see we are back to 50% of our capacity and no OCGT's running.

Going with historic data the next 2 days should be just above 20000mw demand so no load shedding?

Actually over 50% total from Eskom is 44GW, 38GW is coal, 1.8GW is nuclear.
No Octgs is why we are in load shedding. Normally with that shortfall we'd use 14 OCTGs to cover us, no Octgs just feels like no diesel

The no OCGT's comment was aimed at the increased capacity even though there are no OCGT's running. I know if they ran them we could have less loadshedding.

I'm using 48000MW but this article states it as an installed base of 49000MW.

The capacity never includes the Octgs?
The 48/49GW must include renewables and pumped
Cause it's 38GW coal, 1.8GW nuclear, 3GW octgs and 1.5GW inports so 44GW.
