Fortunately that is scheduled for after the winter - October or so. So yeah, for only 3 months will we have both runningAnd when Koeberg unit 1 comes back online, the other one goes off for the same process

Well until next year June
But then unit 1 will need refuelling again soon after

Refueling next time, but refueling still is 60 to 90 days.
Hope maybe the lesser time - in this article I found before seeing your post, they seem to think 3 months.

Well they do normally do it right, normally. Also it can sometimes go for a year and a half, think it did for 2020.

Eskom announced that Unit 2 of the Koeberg power station, which had been on cold reserve since April 2020, was successfully synchronised to the grid to help relieve the pressure on the generation system.

40 years is up shortly, that's why they're replacing the boilers etc. for an extension.

Yeah, just unfortunate timing.
What do you guys think about dept. of energy taking over Eskom? At least anc can't claim Eskom's bills aren't their problem now..
