Damn that's rubbish. CoCT, which is usually quite on time with the stages, messed up slightly today as it didn't come on at the correct time. Just phoned the call centre and electricity came back on within 5 minutes.

Yeah, I think either the Swiss are managing our loadshedding schedules here in the south peninsula or it's automated.

In all seriousness, his solution to the Eskom debt problem was to basically liquidate and sell anything worth anything, scrap the rest and move on. That is clearly a workable solution for the national power utility... /s

Honestly, I think no power in the cold is a lot more manageable than no power in this ****ing heat. In the cold you can at least put on more clothes, I'm this heat you are just ****ed.

Yes the reserve bank can threaten to withdraw their operating licenses, but again what this comes down to is if every bank is ignoring SARS orders, the government will need to decide whether they're brave enough to halt the financial infrastructure of the country by withdrawing and enforcing the withdrawal of their operating licenses until they comply

Saying this however, the true power lies with those who run the computer systems, the banks computers don't care about a banking license

Lol that happened here and once as well. Seems like the guy forgot that it was 4 hours. So after 2 he switched it back on and went home…35 minutes later he switched it back off . I like the guy here, he likes to party

I know of a certain suburb/mini municipality that never got load shedding. Then December 23 - 25 they got load shed. I think the person who was flicking the switch just never did, then maybe he took some days off and the stand-in then did flick the switch for 3 days.
