Switch off the stove and geyser at peak times? Isn't that what needs to be done?
I mean they can become smart and use us as a resource instead of flaky Eskom. Imagine a few hundred thousand of us feeding the city instead of Eskom?

Capitec had some interesting stats, despite the astronomical increases in electricity prices their average client is only spending a few % more on electricity. I.E usage is down but eishkom still need da money as if people are actually consuming their product at regular rates

If this mess ever gets fixed I wonder (doubt) if they'll review their rates and lower them

COCT never reduced water rates after the drought they remained mainly the same we got a small decrease but never went back to the same price as pre draught so doubt Eskom will...

So according to power alert if we use some of our reserves load shedding could drop to stage 1

Have we worked out where they get their data from? I compared it to the csv you can grab from eskom a while back and it was not even close, so it's from somewhere else...

Nope no idea, on any of the data

Wasn't it supposed to be stage 4?
Pffft. The only stage that matters is the one that the clowns are actingclowning around on.

We are consistently off for 2.5 to 3 hours every 8 hours, every single day, irrespective of what Stage it is (eg, we were supposed to be Stage 2 today)

That's being put towards new water infrastructure. At least last time I checked Cape Town had basically said national govt isn't going to do it so we have to.

Just corruption anything goes up in price in this place it never goes down again...

Fuel price goes up... food prices go up... fuel price goes down... food stays the same... fuel price goes back up... food goes up again

Since the 25th they dropped generating capacity... so not sure what is looking up lol
Moar looting of $$$ for cadres for sure

They broke something again most probably. Think it is just blackmail tactics to get the govt to give in to their salary and recompenses demands.

Like the Hydra, cut off one head, two others spring up to replace the severed head.

We'll need to root out this corruption at the source.
