I wonder when we will see coal at 20GW again..

Really complicated question IMHO.

anc claims to want to save economy now
Characters like Beke Cele can no longer pretend not to know about sabotage
Vote coming up
anc still not dealing with prosecutions right
anc needs more left-wing "loans"
.........
.........

Some time tomorrow afternoon or evening, we will have #loadshed more Gigawatt hours in 2023 year-to-date than the ENTIRE of 2022. Just to highlight how bad things have gotten. 2023 is going to be at least 2.5x 2022 shedding. And SARB thinks we gonna post GDP growth?? pic.twitter.com/PagPzDiOme

We've been without power for 22 hours now. Members from the one informal settlement decided to block access to the substation because they want the settlement to be switched on before the actual town. When power to the town is switched on after load-shedding, it trips because of "overloading", so the municipal electricians need to manually switch on sections one by one.

This is the settlement where only 7% of its residents pay for electricity. The SAPS hasn't done a f**king thing and apparently, our useless mayor was supposed to be here with the council to try and find a way to settle the matter. We're still waiting for her or anyone else to do something. The CPF can't do anything and the SAPS won't do anything. Loadshedding starts at 16:00.

I hate this f**cking place :cautious:

What is causing the demand peaks so consistently at 6am and 6pm

I dont know about everyone else but these days as soon as the power is on i make sure phones and batteries are all charged up... Because you never know next time it goes off... If it will come back on again...
Got a couple of power banks at home that I'm planning on keeping charged too. I need to get something else for my internet connection. The Gizzu lasted until 04:15 this morning and since we have no power in town, the Vodacom towers are offline too
