Weather has an impact on demand forecasts
Yep, but why it seems based on the Jo'burg area specifically is what we've discussed for months.

How will we recognize a grid collapse even if they will try to hide that from us?
A full one? When it's happened elsewhere, even in Botswana recently, we've all heard about it pretty much immediately.

I mean anything over what we have now is going to ****ing hurt, doesn't need to come close to 37GW

Botswana is 5% the size of SA grid. They probably used SA to restart theirs.

It's not even cold yet and we are already at max curtailment, max OCGT and pumped storage use and on stage 6.
They're hiding longer-term repairs from us, I'm sure of it. Why they keep delaying better stages when they could change back, methinks a surprise package for the voters when the time is right. Our heroes! lol

You're overthinking.

Yeah, we could possibly see only permanently lower stages (relative to now) once those three 'beefy boys' at Kusile are back in operation in November.

There's an article that explains why grid management is actually excellent at Eskom, top equipment and comms. and most are professionals, one of the few things they do right.
so why is it the Schedules are meaningless? times not adhered to, sometimes skipped entirely, explain that to me.
