I am grateful that Eskom are now updating these everyday like before and that there have been no blank pages in a while:

Station build-up for the last 7 days - Eskom Data Portal

This shows how resources were used to build-up the demand over the past 7 days, and it includes both generation and demand side resources that Eskom has contracts with.

System hourly demand and available capacity - Eskom Data Portal

Hourly demand is compared against available capacity, to indicate the amount of surplus/shortfall there was. Available capacity must be matched with the total RSA contracted demand.

Does anyone feel like taking a drive past Kusile? A guy I know who i saw at a braai this afternoon said the repairs are well underway and he thinks kusile will be back up by June. Need to know if he is full of **** or did the ANC manage to actually achieve something for once.

For context he is an engineer who used to work for eskom up until 2020, so not immediately just dismissing the claim.

Kusile has 6 units. 3 are not working because of the chimney. Of the other 3, only 1 is working as the other 2 are still under construction afaik. Also, Medupi has 6 units, 3 broke down the other day. Not sure if they're back, probably not.

Has loadshedding been suspended??? Citypower has said that is until further notice but nobody else has backed up their claim. Very confusing if Eskom has just suspended loadshedding, seeing how we have been hammered with stage 6 the whole week.

Very unlikely. More plausible is that certain municipalities have sufficient reserve power to skip load shedding in some suburbs for a short time period. Our area in zone 11 CT is currently on (6-8am on Sunday), when it should be off (stage 2+). We are also near a hospital, so they may be testing the circuits to see how much baseline demand there is at off-peak hours.
 
I had a quick look at the graphs and it looks like our 05:00-07:00 slot was skipped this morning. I've seen loadshedding skipped once or twice in Centurion, but never this side.

I'm in the Eastern Cape not Gauteng
