Hello folks, im not sure if this is the correct thread, but its a gadget.

MODS im sorry if you have to move the thread.

I have an Iphone 5 and i am looking for a portable powerbank that I can use with the phone.

Any recommendations?

So I googled "powerbank" and the first hit was http://www.powerbanksa.co.za/

"it's a gadget" so I'm pretty sure that's what you want, correct?
 
An iPhone 5 has a battery capacity of approximately 1500mah. So if you want to charge it fully, your powerbank should be at least have a 1500mah capacity to fully charge once. I wouldn't recommend those cylinder (test tube) shaped powerbanks as those seem really bulky and I just don't know where to put them. I personally prefer rectangular flat ones that look like smaller versions portable harddrives as I can just put them in my blazer pocket. I have a 4500mah powerbank similar to this (just not solar powered).

Ignore the 20000mAh rating, I've personally tested this unit and was able to charge my Galaxy S3 almost 5 times from flat

We also stock a smaller cheaper version that will charge an iPhone twice
