Hey All, have a weird one for you all.
So current setup is a Billion 400G (Telkom one), running my mweb uncapped 4mb through it like normal. Line sync is Upstream 639900
Downstream 8031900
So technically 4mb spare capacity.
Now i have a housemate who runs his own adsl account through ppoe dialup on windows 7. His is a mweb uncapped 2mb. So with some quick maths i technically have 2mb spare capacity. Has worked like this no issues that i can remember from the day we started sharing the connection.
Since Saturday 8 December all of a sudden if he downloads at full speed (256Kbps roughly) then i get pushed down to the same, basically halving my download, same happens to my upload (irrelevant at the moment). So now its technically a 2mb for the both of us and 4mb overhead.
I have gone through everything i can thing of and cant think how this is being used. Housemate has fixed ip address and subnet mask, no dns and no gateway so does not use my connection if his dial up connection fails, have got telkom to do a port reset and made no difference!
Any ideas???
