PPPOE connections have disappeared

Hi guys,

Last night when I got home, I tried to connect to one of my two pppoe broadband connections, only to discover that they have disappeared completely from my network connections. Very strange. So when I try create them again, the option for a broadband connection that requires username and password is greyed out (pppoe). This is most peculiar. Any ideas? I wanna try avoid a format.

That happened to me too. When I looked in device manager my network adapter had disappeared. Not flagged, not faulty, just gone. I bought another LAN adapter.

you can try take out your Network Card (if it's not OB that is) and put it back in ... that sometimes helps. But if it's OB or the taking out/putting back doesn't work ..... it's dead and you'll need a new one It's happened to me twice before and it was these forums that helped me the 1st time
