I'm looking to do the following.

PC -> Wireless router -> router/modem -> internet.

If I connect the PC up to the modem/router it can do PPPoE fine with the modem in bridged mode. But if I stick the Wireless router inbetween (in dhcp mode) then I can't do a PPPoE.

Am I missing something?

Running an Asus WL520-G with dd-wrt on it.

try PC - router modem
wireless - router modem

Make sure that all devices' gateway is set to ip of router modem

make sure that the dhcp is active on router modem and off on wireless (or that wireless relays dhcp from router modem)

I'm sorry to say but your diagram doesn't make much sense.

I can do PPPoE from my PC to the modem.
The wireless router gets an IP from the modem when I plug that into the WAN port.

But the PC can't get an ip if I use the DHCP forwarder option and it can't even ping the modem (it could when the wireless router did the DHCPing)

Check your wireless router's manual. In it they must define all the configuration procedure. Because every modem has its own cp. Check your all ports or firewall setting. May be their is any problem.

*edit - Epic revival of 1year old thread is win

it's possible to PPPoE over wireless, i've managed it using mikrotik routeros software and bridging the wlan and ethernet ports together creating a wireless bridge, but if you aren't going to be able to fully bridge your routers and are using NAT instead, I doubt it's going to be possible to use PPPoE on your setup

Don't reply to spammer revival topics

First of all do you want to make the wireless connection between your pc and wireless router or between the routers or both ( be more specific! )?
If you want ethernet connection between your routers you most prob need to use a cross-over
Second one of your routers needs to be on DHCP server and the other needs either DHCP relay or Disabled
Third make sure you do not have both routers on the same IP address!

Seriously, this topic is more than a year old

Please don't scream

LOL didn't check the date :D
