For anyone intending to use I-Burst under linux, this is an excellent product. I connected up the modem to my mandrake 10 box.
Started Mandrake control center, set it up as an ADSL PPPoE connection.
Put in the account details, rebooted and bang works like a charm.

Score one for I-Burst. I'm impressed. Easier than setting it up on Windows.

so you have to set it up as an ADSL modem? I was struggling to get it working under Smoothwall last night, eventually gave up, and added it as a PPPoE xDSL modem on my wireless access point - that worked. By that time I was too tired to try it on Smoothwall again [:)]

now to go and figure out the settings under Smoothwall... ack!

Sucktech no more... I'm now an iBurster! hmmmm... bandwidth... [:D]</div id="right"></i></font id="size1">

Works like a dream in SuSE, no reboot [:)]

Should work in Smoothwall, infact any OS or Device that supports ADSL modems should support Iburst. PPPoE is a standard, just labeled ADSL by most OS's and Devices to make things a little more user friendly.

Kai I am running a smoothwall box at home and is working 100%. refer to https://sihen.servebeer.com:441 - what was the problem?

sihen, it just wouldn't dial. I tried over and over, but it wouldn't work... it's okay though... i got it working through my wireless access point, so it's cool.

what i need to figure out now is how to get my two connections bridged so that the PCs on the hardwired network downstairs can use the net via the wireless access point upstairs.
