Praise for Telkom

Just thought I'd give Telkom some praise for a change.

Last night my adsl went down, so I left it till this morning to see if it would come right on its own...no such luck. So I phoned Telkom at 7:30..got to speak to someone straight away, no waiting, didn't even get to hear that annoying 'on hold' tune of theirs, anyway logged a fault and then had someone phone be back in about 10 min to say the call was logged and being attended to then 11:30 I get a call from a technician saying he is at my house to sort out the adsl which he did.... in about half an hour(faulty connector box).

Nice one Telkom..thank you very much (this time with no sarcasm). This is definitely my most pleasant experience with them...ever.
 
we've been all getting much more from our caps, so yes, telkom rocks! stop complaining
 
No more complaining from me, cancelled my service about a week ago, so for the 1st time in my life I'm not a Telkom customer anymore...and I think it will remain that way! :D
 
You're really lucky and I'm glad that somebody is getting good service from Telkom. :D
 
You're damn lucky....

Phone line went down on Thursday (saw it when I got home from work). Phoned at about 19:00... held on for 30 minutes (from my cell) without anyone answering (I unfortunately terminated the call when someone else called my cell).
Logged the fault at about 23:00 (again after about 30 minutes of holding on).

I have phoned to find out status of the fault (yesterday and today), to be told that it has been assigned to a technician and he/she will attend to it (no time given).

When I asked when it was assigned to the technician I was told that it was assigned on Friday (that's now 3 working days ago, excluding the weekend, which used to be the only time telkom techs used to work).
 
DSL went down 2 nights ago. At midnight on the dot. Phone last night at 22:30 - was on hold for 30 mins!

thank you for holding - all our service consultants are still busy. please be patient your call will be ansrwed as soon a sevice consultant is available.

At 22:30...I mean come on - how can they be busy!! This morning it was working again though, but I think it fixed itself.
 
I've no complaints with my dsl service, i get more out of my cap, but the speeds are not great but it does work. I need the thing to do..

My dsl went down due to none payment... What would you know it was a credit limit on the line, they should change the greeting from "Your line is suspended" to your line is soft locked ... Glad the telkom direct shop, got my line up and running when I arrived home...
 
well compare telkom to other Isp's, i'm sure other isp's are much more strict with capping! and do they have free uncapped local.

So stop complainin about Telkom, well ... when Telkom decides to be more strict with capping then you all will have something to complain about!... ,
 
lol, when i sync at 4 meg like i did on the first few days of my upgrade.. ill give them some praise.
