I'm using an old Onkyo integrated AV amplifier with a 6 channel multi input currently - with the aim of getting a pre/power combination.
I can't afford both pre/power at the same time, so I'm thinking of buying a pre beforehand and then the power when I can afford it.
The pre obviously has preout puts for the power - but what if I connect them to the 6 channel multi input on my current for the time being?
What would control the volume?
I'd guess both - so I'd need to leave the Onkyo at 30% and control via the pre.
Am I right?
