For reasons, I had to resort to a Vodacom data SIM card in a TP-Link M7200, both bought new this morning.

However, this is the speed I'm getting:

Surely I should be getting way faster than this?

Any suggestions on how to improve the speed would be most appreciated, thanks

dont allways believe the speed tests with LTE they arent accurate .if you have showmax on your decoder connected its speed accuracy is better .also try google fiber speed test to different isp .i find ookla speed tests to not be great on lte

change the vodacom server to cape town as well .they allways erratic as hell speed tests

OK, now I'm confused AF

I swapped the Vodacom SIM from the router with the MTN one from my phone.

MTN in the router

Vodacom in my phone

So MTN in the router is way slower than in my phone. And Vodacom in my phone is way faster than in the router.

OK, so it looks like Vodacom LTE in my spot is slower than MTN.

BUT it also looks like the router is causing slow speeds, even though it is supposedly rated to 150Mbps.

if it doesnt affect whatever you do online then just ignore the speed tests
