Chelsea line up so far:

17 July - Crystal Palace (Selhurst Park)

23 July - Ajax Amsterdam (Amsterdam Arena)

1 Aug - Eitracht Frankfurt (Commerzbank Arena)

4 Aug - Hamburg (??)

8 Aug - Man Utd (Wembley)


I wanna see how K.akuta is going to fair with the losses we have had in the midfield so far and hope to catch a glimpse of Yossi becoming Ancellotti's "Diamond Geezer". I also hope Josh McEachran has a good pre-season, he looks a lively fellow and is quite a little player.

Maybe we can use this thread for URL's to streams of pre-season games, since SS wont be broadcasting most of them

Good idea... now to find those streams...

I remember there was aplace to watch the games but it was utter shyte quality. Can't remember the name now for the life of me...

EDIT: If everyone posts the urls for their respective teams... I'll put them in the OP.

So Chelsea kick off the pre-season today... only 4 first teamers will feature due to the others being involved in the World Cup.

Anyway... two other EPL teams have played, United winning 3-1 and Everton beating the Aussies 2-1.
 
Arsenal playing barnet today, don't know what time. Arsenal online has the 3 pre-season matches at £3. Didn't sign up, thought dstv would cover it ( as they always do).

Arshavin 1, Jay Simpson 2 - there is another goal, but livescore is always buggy for pre-season matches.

The Chelsea game was awesome for me. Josh McEachran was great but he needs some time to develop - he's just not physically right for the first team yet I reckon. great first touch and vision. Passing was superb and he went for every ball. Really great! Nate Chalobah made his debut, 15 years old and did pretty well considering. I mean he really is a kid - not a freak of nature like Luka.ku so seeing him get in there despite being out-muscled was a nice thing to see. Have to say, after this game I reckon Ryan Bertrand and Franco di Santo aren;t up to it unfortunately but Bruma was class. Essien got some game time and looked as if he was in mid season - they guy really is an amazing player. The game ended up 1-0 and while we did dominate possession I have to say... I got a taste of what the Arsenal faithful must feel like watching their team... men against boys - sure it was Palace but the fact is that the vast majority of Under 18s are just not up to it. Can't wait to catch the next game. :D

@nivek - yeah I know, saw it a while later. What was the starting line-up? Anyone unfamiliar do well? I mean Jay Simpson is hardly a new name, must have had a great game though. you reckon he will make it into the first team anytime soon?

Cant really comment as I didnt get to watch the game ;< but acccording to all the reviews I've read, Frimpong did really well in the holding role and his name has been mentioned alot
yea Jay is hardly new to the scene but hes still young, if he doesnt break in this season it'll be next, I cant see him doing it now though, too many forwards infront of him atm (Vela, bendtner, eduardo, chamakh, van persie) but depending on how this season goes, this might be the last at arsenal for vela and eduardo, thats if they still there come end of august.. simpson always does well in pre season though, maybe arsene will hang onto him instead of sending him out on loan again, let him train with the first team and play cup games..
jay emmanuel thomas will definately feature this season
 
UN-BE-FCKING-LIEVABLE!

Turnbull is having a comedy of a first half against Ajax. If it wasn't so frustrating it's be funny. Hopeless.

He needs to be sold on ASAP. Cut our losses and buy someone else...

Not int he starting eleven as far as I recall... didn't watch the second half, mate called from Serbia and was talking til now. Game finished 3-1... Turnbull should be shot. Sturridge was lively and McEachren had a decent spell in the first half. Dunno what happened in the second as I said.
 
Obertan scored a good goal the other day, Welbeck slid in such a sweet pass. I think it was against Philadelphia or something.

Tevez and Lescott will be hoping someone uses broken beer bottles in that fight. They could add another member to the Ugly Crew.

lol. I'm just glad to see Adebayor falling down the pecking order at Man City. Left Arsenal in a rather ugly manner for 'greener pastures' and now seems more likely to be a bench warmer next season.
 
Only if Dzeko comes in, who is a slightly more skilled target-man. Can't see Balotelli in Adebayor's current role, at least not this coming season.
 
What is it about Balotelli, is he any good ? We only know about his temper but anyone see him play (well) ?
