Preferred Software Developer Candidate

I don't understand, if this is such an important issue why not just do a double major?
 
Who doesnt have double majors? But triple majors could help, he can do maths, stats and CS.
 
It also depends on the industry. Your maths and stats qualifications would give you a huge advantage in the financial industry for example.
