Prehistoric Planet (2022)

My 4 year old has been waiting for this for months.

Since the trailers came out he has watched them almost every night a couple of times over.

Needless to say it was the best **** ever tonight to watch the first episode.
 
With everything going HDR these days, thinking of upgrading my 1080p TV.
 
Just watched the first 2 episodes.

They seem so short, only 45 minutes which I presume is to allow for 15 minutes of advertising.

Huh? There's no advertising this is straight to Apple TV+.

45min pretty standard for all things documentary.

Actually felt a tad too long for me.

You mean if they eventually sell the rights to an ancient platform like DSTV with a schedule?

Could be but it's probably got more to do with the attentions of the average couch potato :)

Unlikely you’ll ever see Apple TV+ do that.

Does Netflix syndicate their content anywhere? I know Amazon Prime does.
 
Never had a sub for Apple tv+ but seeing the trailer for this show, I am sold, one month sub coming up, take my money Apple , but just this once for now.

You are right, as I wanted to sub , I got the 7 day trial. But the show alone is worth at least the one month sub, so I do not mind that. I'm not really that scummy haha, I believe the show deserves my 2 cents. I can also get to check other shows on there that I might like to watch.

Wow, definitely going to check this out. I remember a series many years ago called Walking with Dinosaurs (narrated by Kenneth Branagh I think). Really enjoyed that so this should be good too.

Kids love that as well.
 
I've watch the first 5 episodes now, they have some surprisingly funny bits. Sometimes though they cover a lot of the same dinos over and over, where I'd have preferred that they show some more variety...but I guess it makes sense financially speaking to re-use assets.
