I've had the Z2300 for ages and there's nothing really wrong with it - I'm just interested if technology and increased further in the past few years and if pricing may have come down on premium sets.

What's the latest king of sound (within price reason) for 2.1 setups?

Z263?
Harmon Kardon Soundstick?
Anything else to be looked at?
 
Also interested, after having the excellent Z2300s for quite sometime now I had a listen to the Soundsticks and for the price they seem a huge improvement.

Those look awesome too, my Z2300's remote control broke so I gave them back, was still under warranty but by that time they stopped manufacturing them. They replacements, the Z623 or something, just isn't as good. Saw some reviews where they compare it to the Z2300, even though they claim to have the same wattage, the Z2300 is far superior. Even the new flagship model (the new 5.1's, not sure of the name) are apparently not as good.

It seems they are trying to go for a more midrage market, Logitech now that is.
 
How much are the Corsairs, are there a places I can demo them?
 
For the price, there isn't too much wrong with them?

When I bought my Z2300 a few years back they were R1,400.00 which - or the equipment received - was excellent actually.

EDIT : Unless they've gone up heavily recently
 
I have a Z2300 remote available free to anyone who is willing to collect it from my office in Linbro Business Park, Marlboro. Retarded burglars stole my speakers but left the remote. PM me for address details.

Agreed, these look awesome, I had to give my Z2300's back, this will definitely by my replacement.
