I just received this from cell c, they have adjusted the premiums, however I want my unlimited contract. Are they allowed to just do this?

Dear Valued Customer, we are simplifying our product offerings and removing some old plans. Your current plan Pinnacle Unlimited will change to Pinnacle Premium 10GB by 31-Oct-19 for a decreased subscription of R1049pm but giving you benefits of 3000 Mins, 10 GB data, and 3000 SMSs. For more details, please visit https://www.cellc.co.za/cellc/migration/M214 .We thank you for your continued support. CellC

Yes they can increase decrease remove or add benefits if and when proper notice is given as well as the opportunity to cancel the service at any time.

honestly drop them already the reduction is quite a bit

Thanks for your reply, I had given them a call yesterday, they have informed me that I can't cancel, they have changed the plan so though luck to me, they proceeded to send an sms stating I have 8 months on my contract... I don't think that's fair! Or should I except it

No you can cancel, you will however have to pay for the device as well as the penalty fee. There is no such thing as not being allowed to cancel the service.

So if they tell you otherwise, they are talking shyte, they have to honor any request to cancel, you will however have to pay the penalty fees.

The networks change their tune very quickly after you involve the NCC

Change what tune ? Have you ever bothered reading terms and conditions of cellphone contract.
Wait let me help you.

ANY other cellphone network provider has similar terms and conditions with regards to services and contract fees, which might change at any time during the course of the contract IF proper notifications has been sent as is required by law, in specific the notice period and allowing clients to cancel the service should they not agree with services and fee changes.

So what exactly should they be complaining about, and what exactly what will they be changing their tune about considering you agreed to the terms allowing them to change your services and fees.
