Hope this is the correct pace for such a post.

Below is a transcribed copy of an SMS received in the last 2 days. Quite a bit has been posted recently about persons being conned in to subscribing to these services inadvertently without their knowledge and then having to fight to get the charges reversed.

Well this is an example of how it potentially happens. I am seeking advice on how should one handle these sort of things.

SMS received over a Vodacom connection.

The message:
Visit http:// wwwwwwww and you could qualify to win a car valued @ R 1.6m. To enter & claim free entry dial *120*360*40#. Replay Stop to optout.

Now my problem is this.

In a smart phone what happens when you access that website? Does this automatically trigger an acceptance of the service?
There is nothing in this first message to say that this is a premium rated service and to warn you of potential costs. There is also nowhere (yet) of such a warning and a final bail out option.
That SSID code from experience of what happened with my wife's account, she found herself signed up to the service the moment she entered that code.

Question: Is this sufficient for me to lay a complaint with WASPA?

Besides deleting this message unanswered, what is the best course of action here?
