I had an old modem and decided to try the testing 500MB freebie. It it rains freebies, use it!
I had some trouble.
It seems as it the PrePaid software did not like the DashBoard software on my machine.
I removed everything iBurst, including the drivers.
Then I re-installed the PrePaid software. However, the drivers were not automatically installed again, and nothing would work.
A call from Shaun with instructions resolved the issue.
As this is a Beta test - not too bad - at least it exposed a flaw that will affect many potential PrePaid users.
Speed: the experience is similar to my Desktop modem.
And yes, I did subscribe to the test in spite of the published rates in anticipation of the revised offering. My guess is that the rates published are in the same league as the "leak" to 702 about iBurst folding.
