Prepaid meter error (Meter has been updated)

Nevermind! I started unplugging appliances in our house. Something was interfering with the signal.
yea i have a wireless device that connects to my prepaid meter , the meter has no screen so everything has to happen on hanheld unit, had some pc's that caused interference , so always had to switch them off to be able to load units or even see how many units was left

In a house we rented, ran out of elec and the CIU does not work on batteries anymore. Took a chance and plugged into the neighbors outlet and it worked

This will ONLY work if said neigbour is on the same phase (white\blue\red) as you AND close enough for the power line signal to reach without attenuation or interference.

So in plain English for everyone else getting this idea, if one neigbour cant help you, try another neigbour, starting with those closest to you (or the cabinet with the actual "meters").

I believe the rules say if you start a thread and then say "never mind" you still have to pay the call out fee.

Has anyone successfully recharged just on batteries without plugging the thing?

Should be possible if the betteries are new...but I doubt it since it needs a "powerline" connection sorta thing to sync with whatever.

So I’m facing the same issue.

Update was done & I’ve had prepaid 6 years / solar 18 months and I’ve never had an issue.

Today, everything says failed.

Can you resync these?

Edit : It’s been in the same plug since forever, but I have tried others too. Nothing changed on solar side

Try switching off all appliances from plugpoints/tripping mains and leaving just 1 plugpoint series on. Plug it in that and try again. Move to next plugpoint series if Fail. Could also be microwave/interference/ etc thats failing the meter sync.

Last resort is take it to your closest neighbour and try from his/her home.

Came right just after this post.

Helper came today and was using the vacuum … unsure if it was that. But sorted .

Thanks
