Prepaid wireless internet access

Recently relocated to SA so finding it difficult to get a contract for vodacom. I have a vodacom 3G/HSDPA modem for my laptop. Does anyone know what the cheapest solution is to wirelessly connect my laptop to the internet on a prepaid basis...or any other ideas? Cheers!

Where are you located doodlemeister?

Cape Town has pretty good Skyrove coverage.

Check out http://map.skyrove.com to see if there are locations near you. Most are around 35c a MB and it's Wi-Fi, so you don't need any equipment.

If you are living in a house with 6 or more people who are interested in prepaid Wi-Fi access, it might be worthwhile to contact a Skyrove provider and have your location setup, possibly for free.
