Hi, this might be a very stupid question, but I cannot get a clear answer.
I have a property in Pretoria, It has a house with a flat on it. It still has one of those old meters, The main house has a DB board, and the flat has a separate small DB board.
How and where do I apply for Prepaid meters?, what does it cost?
All i'm getting for PTA is these "smart meters", but I cant place a order and no prices are included?

You should look at one of the sub metering companies like Ekhwesi Energy or Prepaid Meters. The prepayment meter will be installed between your main meter and the flat. The tenant will then buy the vouchers from that company and they will pay you less their commission etc.

I have the same.
I had 2 options.

1) change house to prepaid and then do a sub metering for the flat
2) change house to prepaid and then get new cable to be laid from street to flat and have a separate municipal meter in the flat too.

*2nd option then then if you/tenant in main house has no units then flat is not interrupted and they don't have to buy from company x for units

You can also buy the "sub-prepaid" units from places like ACDC, you install that between your main DB and the flat. The tenant then buys vouchers from you. You get access to a web portal to genrate your own tokens when you buy the meter. Can't remember the price though.
