Pressure Pump Stoping Randomly

We have a 1000 litre jojo tank and we installed a pressure pump beside it to push the water through to the house. It worked fine for about a year or so but recently it has been stopping randomly, when it stops I give the cable connecting right underneath the pump a few jiggels and it pumps, but then stops after i close all the taps, could it be that the pipes are blocked or the main issuse is the cable and nothing else?

Sounds like a blockage in the line, either mineral deposits/scale or dirt.

Pull the multimeter out and check the voltage.
