I have a Cobra Watertech Masterflo1 400Kpa pressure control valve that has recently started dripping at a fairly fast rate. I have removed and relubricated the cartridge but it hasn't helped. If I turn off the mains water supply for a few minutes and then turn it back on, the drip is gone - sometimes for a few hours even - but it always comes back. Any ideas on how to fix this, short of replacing the whole thing which is costly?

Sorry man, far as I know these valves don't have any serviceable parts so you will have to replace the whole cartridge. It's not crazy expensive I had to replace my one about 2 years back and cost me about R700 for the cartridge

Is it dripping just after someone used some hot water from the geyser? Water expands when heated and the resultant pressure increase is then released through that pressure control valve until the pressure is back to the prescribed value and then stops releasing some water..

It does drip after the geyser has been used, if it's dripping all the time then just replace the thing.
