There was/is a really good SA PC hardware comparison site that I had bookmarked on my old PC. The old PC is fried and I'm interested in some comparisons.

Anyone got any ideas? I seem to remember a scorpion or something as a logo..

That would be bluesting.co.za

There is also pricecheck.co.za, jump.co.za and shopbot.co.za

However you should always check a few of the cheapest online retailers (pcint, prophecy, computersonly, sybaritic etc.) if they are not searched by those sites.

Ah, bluesting.co.za is the one :)

I always remember that being the most organized, with price charts over time and the works. Computersonly one of the cheapest? Er ok

Well their specials are often the best. I suppose I haven't looked much at their general pricing, but they were the best on a few items I was looking at when they had them on special. Still worth checking out, the comparison sites often leave out some of the best deals and obviously any specials.

I second that. Got my mouse, keyboard and soundcard from Computersonly, especially the D2X card price is still rediculously cheap compare to others.

This site isn't even South African (nothing in rands?) and doesn't specialise in PC Hardware. :/

EDIT: Oh right, I see 3 out of your 4 posts are trying to sell people stuff. Ras!

+1 on RAS. One of his other posts set my alarm bells off already...

+1 Got my gfx card at a great price from them while it was on special :D

Yea but I've noticed that their general stuff is on average R100 - R200 more expensive than other places (Digital Addiction, etc). This was mostly on mobo's though.

Sigh been out of the hardware market for a while and need parts, have no clue what is happening right now
