First of all, I am not as well informed as any of you guys about broadband, but I started thread in the Digital-m forum about the broadband growth in the UK and we ended up talking about pricing of broadband in the UK, Turkey and in General, as many of the members of this small forum are based abroad. I might even have the prices completely wrong but it just once again showed how much Telkom is holding SA's growth back in terms of online growth.

I recall a while back where we discussed all of this and started talking about strategies on how to get the government (Essentially they are in control) to comprehend the stupidity behind expensive broadband. It does however seem like some parties in government do get the point. I recently read an article about the Durban City "Smart city Project"Now that sounds promising. But what strategies can we make use of to get government to understand the concept better? Any ideas, or has it been discussed to many times?

Ok, so I stand alone in this discussion, sigh!!! Can anyone at least confirm that my price calculations are more or less correct?
***The price I calculated it to was £90/month in SA.
