Hi guys, I'm sorry if this is against the rules. I do want to sell this system but I'm unsure as to what to ask for it. Id just like to get some feedback first and then put it up for sale. If this is against the rules I apologize and you can delete this thread

Intel i7 920 CPU Socket 1366 LGA
ASUS P6T DELUXE V2
AMD Radeon HD 6870
8 Gig DDr3 ram
1TB HDD
430 Watt Corsair PSU
Standard gaming case
24' Samsung LCD

Much appreciated

I don't think it's against the rules . Just make the thread in a general section and then open a sale thread once you are satisfied as to what your want for it .

R4 - R5k with everything? That would be a good place to start. Unfortunately I don't think its worth much more, but take a look at gumtree and see what other people are selling similar spec pc's for. That will give you some idea of the market.

Sorry mate not much. That GPU is way out dated, the CPU is out dated, No SSD. The screen you can probably get a few bucks for but the case, not much more than R 4k I would say, with screen probably around R 5k at most.

Always worth trying to sell components individually if you struggle finding a buyer? Might be a chance some one has a busted component and cannot afford to buy a whole new system...

Curious as well now, since I'm also still using these

Intel i7 920 CPU Socket 1366 LGA
ASUS P6T DELUXE V2

:)

CPU: R400-450
MB: R1000-1200
RAM: R400 (if 1333MHz)
GPU: R700-750
PSU: R250-300
HDD: R300
LCD: ~R1500 depending on model

That's more or less the prices you will find on carbonite for the specific items you listed.

I'd say R5000 minimum all in one go, because this setup kicks the crap out of any new system that costs R5000 today. R4000 at a minimum if you're just selling the tower.

He's asking on a tech forum so the prices he gets will be reasonable for what we'll pay.

He can flog it for R 8k if he gets someone stupid enough :D

Do unto others etc. Don't try and rape the next guy down the road. Rather do that to banks or insurance companies :)

LOL, no hard drives on that Gumtree advert. I'd really love to have two GTX 550 Ti cards on hand though. I wonder how they fare in games and what kind of scaling they get in Windows 10 drivers now?

What? Nah uh, Steers' ice cream is much better. A stronger taste of vanilla with a hint of honey and a smoother texture, at least for the one here in JBay. KFC and McDonald's ice cream is far inferior.
