Pricelists

This is starting to sound like an episode of Days of our lives here. (not that I watch it) You have the love, the hate, the Betrayal....

you all are right this is not the place for this, so from know on i will not tune wip or any one else, i will just keep it nice and clean.

Someone was kind enough to supply me with a rectron august pricelist, which I'll work off for the time being if no one has the september one yet, but I'm also looking for a Light Edge price list if anyone has it?

No, I'm not a dealer

Please people, this is illegal! Keep it to your self.

It's not really illegal, but Rectron can revoke your dealership. That includes kicking you out of sister dealers like Corex and so on.
It's really not worth it.

Dealer prices

People, we live in the age of transparancy!

If you can't declare your profit, then its too high! look at telkom!

Uhm, because the dealer prices are confidential information, not for the general public?

I'm sure you wouldn't be saying this if you didn't have access to dealer price lists :p

Rectron are a bunch of wankers anyway so I feel no guilt in obtaining their price lists.

Guys, the legality of something is informed by existing legislation, and where it is unclear or not covered, it may be challenged in a court of law for a judicial ruling. When it comes to commercial agreements of this nature, to my knowledge there are no legal provisions currently that enforce confidentiality, except to the extent that where by mutual written agreement such confidentiality is indeed enjoined on both parties to the agreement and one of the parties is in breach, then whatever penalties are prescribed therein, may be activated by judicial ruling as warranted. Of course, this can ultimately turn out to be quite severe, particularly if loss of business revenue is a consideration and can be proven.

Having said this, it should be noted that wholesale pricing is usually seen as commercial-confidential - after all, that is the primary basis on which margins and ultimate profitability is determined by distributors/resellers, and could lead to business closure due to loss of revenues, if details are publicly disseminated. By the same token, however, a wise distributor will make its price list for direct purchase by non-resellers publicly available, ensuring that the margins offered to resellers bear no relation to the final pricing offered to non-resellers. Its for this very reason that lots of distributors will not supply, except to direct reseller partners in the channel...
