According to this the NP200 cost pretty much the same as a Ranger. Why woud you get the NP200?
Don't you just love the Etios as the seventh best selling car...

I didn't realise that the NP200 costs so much now, I thought that it was around R140 000.

Some people need a smaller vehicle, to fit in their garage. It is also easier to drive and park a smaller car. The NP200 is lighter on fuel, and probably cheaper to insure. The NP200's load box is also rubberised as a standard feature.

Drives like a car vs like a bakkie. Smaller for easier parking (you have seen how the parking spaces seems to get smaller in each new shopping centre right?). Much more standard features then the bares bones bottom range Ranger. Even cheaper than the Ranger or NP 200, the NP300 Hardbody, so get that one since price is your only cosideration... :p

Etios easily explained, cheapest on that list.

EcoSport doing pretty well for itself, since it was only released in 2013.

Cheapest Hilux is R300k and it still sells like hotcakes? Well done to them!
