Primary and Secondary DNS - can anyone explain?

I had hoped that if I list my primary DNS for my webserver, I could list my URL on a different server that bears the Secondary DNS - or what?
 
Uuh.. Gonna need to be more specific; Are you planning to host a webserver? In which case, you're probably looking at the wrong settings.

Also, you may want to change your user name, expect a heap of spam if you publish your email address like that.
 
This question makes no sense

Assuming to answer the Thread title rather than that nonsense in the post:

DNS servers are like phone books,converting URL addresses ( Uniform resource locator) to numeric IPs
Using multiple DNS servers is a way to try to mitigate service interruption primarily by allowing more than 1 phone book to have the IP address of the URL listed
