So yesterday I discovered the "Justwatch" site and had the opportunity to see exactly what Showmax/Neflix and Prime video had to offer. looking at the catalogs I decided to go with Prime Video as it seems to have the "older" content that i'm interested in.
So last night I set this up on my Media player, its working 100% but the titles i'm seeing are majority Bollywood. I don't have a issue with Bollywood movies/shows, but i have absolutely zero interest in watching them. When going back to "Justwatch" i'm not seeing all these Bollywood stuff. Is there anyway I can hide/block it so that it does not appear on the Prime App?, if it was only a few it would not bother me, but the majority is Bollywood and its a pain searching for stuff i'm actually interested in with so many titles i have absolutely no intention of watching -_-

Thats strange i got Prime and no bollywood. Have not set anything

The app categorizes content, so simply scroll past the Hindi/Bollywood categories. Problem solved.

My bigger issue is - why is Preacher season 2 in the catalogue but not available?!

Are you sure you signed up through https://www.primevideo.com/ and not via Amazon.com?

If you go via Amazon you'll get region restricted content and not the SA-specific catalog.

Also assuming you didn't sign up via Amazon India. :)

I went to PimeVideo site, when I tried registering it took me to amazon, apparently I already have an amazon account, but after logging into Amazon I went back to the Prime site and finished my signup. My 1st suspicion was that i might have selected a different country when originally signing up to Amazon, but checking my "address", its definitely South Africa.

This is seriously fcking annoying, as swim mentioned he has no Bollywood content and I have a ****load.

Yeah that sounds about right.

When it first came out I went via Amazon Prime directly trial and got all sorts of "this content is not available in your region" lock out messages.

Only when signing up via primevideo.com did everything work properly.

But that being said when the 6 month trial subs are over and it goes to full price I'll just cancel it as it's pretty ****.

It really is a piss poor setup for a supposed "South African" launch as nothing is properly geared for SA.

Yeah it is pretty ****ty, my reconning was the same as yours in canceling after 6 months, its a lot of old content for 3$ which i'm happy with. But if the price goes up its really not worth it. I'm not a real big "GT" fan, and seems like thats Prime's "big" selling point.

At this stage its also not worth the 3$ if i have to browse through all this Bollywood content to find something proper.

I subscribed to Neflix and Shomax as well, Netflix seems to be the best between the 3 off them.

I would gladly pay R1000pm if we could get the same "KODI/Genisis" content (With Sports). Netflix, HULU, Prime, HBO etc needs to merge and bring out 1 premium package.

Just checked out CellC Black, they are delusional if they think anyone is going to pay R99 pm for their the crappy content. Any half decent title they have available I have to "rent" for R25 O_o
