Damn, just bought a new cartridge (+-R300) just to find out my printer does not have 64-bit driver thus Windows 7 doesn't want to install.

Lexmark Z13 :-(

I tried, but it not 64-bit. Doesn't exist.
Sent an email to Lexmark support, will see what they say.

Yup let that be a lesson to never buy a lexmark product again :D.

I've had the exact same problem with a new Canon laser that was certified for Vista, oh oops no 64bit drivers, swapped it out for a Lexmark and have had no problems with it.

BTW looks like that Z13 is off the market, I guess it's quite old by now. Buy another one that uses the same cartridge you bought.

Not good news, but at least that what I call customer service.

"Dear xxxxx,

Here is your Service Request # xxxxxxxxxx.

Thank you for contacting us regarding this matter. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you, and I hope my suggestions will provide a resolution.

I understand that you want to install your Z13 printer on your computer which has Windows Vista operating system. I regret to inform you that the Hardware/Technology of this printer would not support the 32/64 bit processes of the Vista Operating System. That is why, there are no Vista drivers developed for this printer model. The Z13 printer was developed before Windows Vista operating system came out, and demand for the driver for that operating system is not there.

Because we appreciate your business, and want to reward you for being a loyal Lexmark customer, I will send you a 20% discount coupon that you may use if you wish to purchase a newer Lexmark printer model that should be compatible with Windows Vista. The discount coupon will be sent on a separate email and you may use it if you purchase online or by calling our Presales department.

You may use the 20% discount coupon to purchase selected Lexmark printer models that should have all the features of your Z13 printer, and more. It will also be free of standard shipping charges. For more details about the 20% discount coupon, our Presales agents should be able to better assist you.

Somehow I suspect that coupon won't be valid in SA. Those coupons usually only work in the US & Canada.

Even if I buy @ 20% discount, shipping should also be free. So I understood it.
