Men held for ‘renaming’ Mandela Drive

Six men have been arrested for allegedly using stickers to rename Nelson Mandela Drive Clive Derby Lewis Drive on directional boards in Pretoria, police said on Monday.

...and in other news, real crime continues unabated in the capital with very little "police rushing to the scene" in evidence


Is it standard practice for independent media to report on the race of the perpetrators or is that reserved only for certain "priority crimes" ?:rolleyes:

The less race is spoken about in the media the less race becomes an issue. Media is only adding fire to the fuel each time race is mentioned.

Only in certain crimes... I assume its therefore the exception...and assume when its not reported.
 
Thank goodness they rushed there and cought them before it turned serious and they got lost due to wrong street names.
 
they don't say six white men anymore, but everyone would probably know anyway.

And McSack, 90% of the crime in this country isn't racially motivated. Almost 90% of crime are between people of the same race.

Then why when there are numerous farm attacks don't they say "X Black men", when it is more then obvious some of those attacks are racially motivated by the level of violence and brutality that is used?

lol, but as I said in my previous post it is still there. Probably shouldn't be there, isn't it against the law or something.

Maar dit is ras gemotiveerd, maklik om te sien, anders as die Tshwane > Pretoria hernaming wat sommiges doen op Tshwane borde, sou vanpas gewees het as hulle dit genoem het na wat ook al die Rylaan voorheen genoem was, maar om Derby-Lewis se naam te gebruik dui na 'n ras gemotiveerde doel...
