I have an app that allows me to password-protect certain pictures (Photo Vault)

However, seeing as the phone is connected to my google account, there is no way to stop someone who accesses my phone from going to my google account on the phone, where all the pics are available.

I don't want them so easily accessed (my friends watch me, to try to get the phone password, when out drinking) I would not mind so much but my girlfriend is paranoid.

I want them backed up, in case I lose the phone. I like the ease of automatic uploads, which android/google provide

What should I do?

And no, I will not share the pics.

Use Dropbox instead and turn on password lock?

Or ,you know, be like a sane person and don't store sensitive stuffies on the internets (unless it's encrypted) maybe...

Dropbox is good. Will give that a try and try to work out how to auto-sync only certain things.

Internet storage is the way of the future, even for the sane.

Make sure to turn "Camera uploads" off, I think it's on by default.

Also, leaving your data in control of someone else ALWAYS means it's vulnerable, in the future, the past and the present. Do what you want, all I'm saying is don't act surprised when someone gains access to stuff you really don't want found, that YOU put out into the world.

I will not be surprised. I know the internet is pretty public.
